Agronomy - Planning the Crop Production Unit
This lesson teaches farmers how to select crops according to their family and animal nutritional needs, prepare a plan for the parcel where the crop production unit is going to be established, i.e., select crops, delimit area for each crop, make a planting plan, and role play teaching participants how to prepare a plan for crop production for a family of 6 members, for 12 layers, for one year.


Agronomy - Seed Quality and Quantity
This lesson teaches the reader how to select the best seeds for his crop production unit, identify seed sources in the village or communities nearby, identify healthy plants from crops to collect seeds for their use, and identify seed handling and storage principles.


Agronomy - Land Preparation
This lesson will teach the reader how to prepare samples of soil: coarse samples of large clods, pulverized soil samples, and compacted soil samples. It also teaches about water movement through soils and erosion, and how to set up an erosion chamber. The lesson also includes teaching aids, such as a poster of a production unit with crop sections that includes a ditch for irrigation and drainage.

This lesson will teach the reader how to determine the best time and most suitable method to harvest their crops and how to recognize physiological maturity characteristics of crops.


Agronomy - Drying and Storage
This lesson will teach the reader how to determine the best drying method to use after harvesting their crops, and how to determine the most suitable method of storage for their crops, as well as be able to recognize and control crop storage insects.
